Local Trails

Address: Campground Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012 – Trail system features 3 fun flowing trails, ranging in difficulty. Most features have easy round option and offer a little something for everyone. The trail head is before you pass through the gate into Tanglewood saving you $2. Make a left onto Campground Rd. and park in the newly paved parking lot beside the dog park.

Address: Hobby Park 2301 W. Clemmonsville Road, Winston Salem, NC – 7 mile’s worth of trails and rolling terrain offers a little something for everyone. Only duel slalom course is still around which has a few jumps for people seeing some fun. Trails are currently being worked on so be mindful that if you come across an uncompleted feature, know it’s being worked on.

Address: 1001 Salem Lake Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 – scenic 7.2 mile loop of packed gravel around beautiful Salem Lake. Loop is great for the family and causal pace riders. Not technical and only 1 major hill makes this an ideal cycling destination in Winston Salem.

Address: 2835 Memorial Industrial School Rd, Rural Hall, NC 27045 – About 5 miles of trail. The trail system is a single track loop with and a main loop with advanced options featuring steep dropoffs, small and large gullies, and bridges at angles to trail. The park also offers disc golf so make the day longer with a round of Free Disc Golf.

Address: 5834 Bur-Mill Club Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410 – 3 trails in side the park offer a little bit for everyone. The Big loop at the entrance of the park is a great entry level mountain bike trail. the park is also on the scenic greenway which connects many of the mountain bike trails in Greensboro check the link below to find out how to connect the trails.

Address: 3902 Nathanael Greene Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455-1636, 27455 – Trails feature 5.5 miles of single track and “The Zone” which is a freed ride terrain park. The Greensboro mountain bike trail systems are connected by greenways so riders can ride country park, in addition to Bur Mill via the green ways. Only about 35 min from the store. Similar to Tanglewood, but favors more of a flow trail with more berms and longer downhills.

Address: 550 State Road 2036, Kernersville, NC 27284 – This is a relatively new trail system with little miles curently, but this is going to be one of the cycling destinations for mountain bikers. The trials feature some amazing man made features and fun flowing tails to boot.

Address: 238 Reservoir Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697 –  This IMBA epic trail system features over 30 miles of trail’s with 95% being single trail the 3 trails offer a little something for everyone.  The area has also been refereed to as “North Wilkes-bermo” as the trails feature more berms that most riders have ever encountered. Certainly worth the 45min drive to ride one of the best trail systems in NC.

Address: State Park Rd, Statesville, NC 28677 – Lake Norman State Park offers a beautiful, forested trail system that winds around the lake and is full of dips, berms, bench cuts and gully runs that were built into and around its hilly river valley terrain. Most of the trails are fairly easy with the occasional steep climb up fun drainage creeks where the trail crosses.

Address: U.S. 421, New River, NC 28607 – Located just outside of Boone, NC. This mountain bike trail system is located in the mountains featuring 7+ miles of single track, PB& J Jump Line, 3 mountain bike skills areas and an amazing pump track. The trail is about 1:15hrs from the store, but if you’re in the area and looking for more aggressive mountain bike trails with lots of rock features this is the place for you.
